The Los Angeles Dodgers promoted Kenosha native Gavin Lux to Double-A on July 31.
Lux, a first round pick for the Dodgers out of Kenosha Indian Trail in 2016, was hitting .324 with 11 home runs and 48 RBIs for Rancho Cucamonga in Advanced-A ball this year.
The 20-year-old has had the best season of his minor league career this summer. He got off to a strong start in 2016 after being drafted, hitting .296 in rookie ball. He batted .244 with seven homers and 39 RBIs in A-ball last year.
Lux, who is rated as the sixth-best Dodgers prospect by MLB.com, will play for the Tulsa Drillers in Double-A.
