Wisconsin continues to produce high-level talent on a yearly basis, but who's the best of the best? We'll find out soon enough—opening day of the 2018 season is March 27—but as usual, we're taking an early look ahead. These are our preseason All-Wisconsin team selections for the upcoming season. The teams are chosen by our staff based on a variety of factors, including stats from the previous year, quality of competition, overall talent and potential to improve this spring. Last year's stats carry the most weight in the selection process.
After the season, we will release our postseason All-Wisconsin teams, along with the winners of our Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year and Newcomer of the Year awards. Players who are not included on the preseason All-Wisconsin teams are still eligible to receive postseason honors.
Notes: The designated hitter position is given to a position player who warrants selection for the team, but whose normal position is filled. When N/A is listed under college commitment, it means it is unknown if the player has made a commitment.
