St. Croix Falls senior Jared Lessman has been selected as the 2021 Wisconsin Baseball Central Pitcher of the Year.

The Saints' lefty could not be touched this spring. The Iowa Western commit was 11-0 with a 0.64 ERA, but those were far from his only impressive stats. He struck out 158 hitters in 65.2 innings. He was the state leader in strikeouts and pitched three solo no-hitters.

Behind his pitching, St. Croix Falls won the Heart O' North Conference title and reached the Division 3 sectional finals.

Lessman joins Arrowhead's Ryan Schmitt (2016), Kenosha Indian Trail's Ryan Hoerter (2017), Tomah's Connor Prielipp (2018) and Webster's Jack Washburn (2019) as winners of the award.

The other finalists for this year's award were Kimberly's Tommy Ellisen, Menomonee Falls' Cole Fialco, Muskego's Alex Hayes, Markesan's Bryce Leedle, Wauwatosa East's Tommy Meyer, Denmark's Reece Piontek, Boyceville's Walker Retz, Regis' Cole Selvig and Franklin's Joe Turco.
